In 1983 (3 December), Gavin & Iain performed at a wedding reception in Stoke for a friend, Chris Ellis, who played bass in Demon. Gavin had been involved in occasional work, including recordings, with Demon around that time, so the reception entertainment consisted of several people getting on stage from time to time and jamming.
