The four-day festival (May 4-7) was a farce due to a number of factors, the biggest of which was the mysterious absence of ticket-paying fans. The first three days were held at the huge Palazzo dello Sport that had a capacity of 30,000 seats, but when the venue was near empty for the third day running, today's festivities were moved to the small Piper Club, the most famous Italian's discoteque of the 60s. The fourth and last day's line up was to have been The Byrds, Family, Nice, Soft Machine, Blossom Toes and I Camaleonti, although most groups cancel and schedules overrun. So the Tuesday night ends up with only The Byrds, Family and The Grapefruit.
