This photo was taken by Paul's brother Mike at their Auntie Gin's home, during a party held to celebrate their cousin Harry Ian Harris's marriage to Cecilia Jacqueline Gavin, held earlier that day in a Catholic church in Huyton. Ian, as he was known, asked Paul to bring some musician friends to play at the reception.
This photo was shot in a back room parlor. This is likely George's first public appearance with John and Paul and is the earliest known color photo of the three of them. There would not be another color photo for over four years, although a color film was shot in February 1962. The fourth person in the picture is Dennis Littler a party guest, and a neighbour of Ian Harris.
