Due to his commitment at the "Concert For Diana" in London, Paul "Wix" Wickens was replaced by David Arch at the Amoeba gig. Ringo Starr attended the first part of the concert. The concert was recorded for posterity and the following songs appeared on the "Morning Becomes Eclectic" KCRW Radio show: "Drive My Car," "Only Mama Knows," "Dance Tonight," "C Moon," "That Was Me," "Blackbird," "Back In The USSR," "Nod Your Head," "House Of Wax," "Hey Jude". Another radio special from the concert was broadcast on NRK radio in Norway, containing the same songs and adding "Here Today," "Get Back," "Lady Madonna," and "I Saw Her Standing There". A 12" limited edition EP, Amoeba's Secret was released on Hear Music featuring "C Moon," "Only Mama Knows," "That Was Me," and "I Saw Her Standing There".
In 2009 this EP was also made available as a CD, following Grammy nominations of two tracks. Furthermore, the "Ever Present Past" CD single featured "Only Mama Knows" and "Dance Tonight" from the Amoeba concert as bonus tracks, while the 7" vinyl edition of the single had "House of Wax" from the Amoeba concert on the B-side. In 2010 a free CD distributed in the UK with the newspaper Mail on Sunday contained the following songs from the Amoeba concert: "Drive My Car," "Only Mama Knows, "Dance Tonight," "C Moon," "That Was Me, "Blackbird," "Here Today," "Back in the USSR," "Get Back," Hey Jude," "Lady Madonna," "I Saw Her Standing There".
